I wouldn't waste your time on this show, not with the hundreds of better Umph recordings on the archive...

First set is a total bore, even after a classic Slacker. Second set's DBK is put to death by a lame Eminence Front cover. Plunger>Haji>Plunger sandwich is the only part of the setlist worth mentioning.

9:30 Club was a non-stop dance fest two weekends ago for Yonder. Unfortunately 9:30 is hit or miss, and this night was a total miss. Umph was not typical Umph, and the crowd sucked. I found myself bored throughout most of this show. Extremely disappointing after looking at the setlists from UM shows before and after this one in Vermont and the 'ville down in VA

hats off to the taper as always, but still - one of the worst Umphrey's shows I've ever heard

First set hits hard opening with 1348, and has noticeable Jimmy Stewart's present in Slacker, FF, and Tribute to the Spinal Shaft.

On this night I was treated to my first My Morning Song, in 21 shows, and it did not dissapoint. Nor did the second set.

Eminence Front provides a trippy jam vehicle to sandwich DBK which picks up the tone into a fast and furious frenzy while multi colored lights and strobes soak the patrons and fans.

Gulf Stream is kind of the equivalent to a rock n roll easy chair, it's slower tempo, and soft build up encourages the crowd to become 'friends' and albeit a little cheesy, for this night it seemed to work.

A electric and full-bodied August came up featuring B. Bayliss working a fabulous solo. Showcasing one of the many sounds of UM is the razor sharp solos of J. Cinnager, and the nitty gritty solos of his guitar counterpart B. Bayliss.

Joel Cummins was especially in the groove, pounding on his many keyboards and instruments the crescendo in August, and much of the rhtyem section and slick Jimmy Stewart transitions can be attributed to his fine work on the keys.

The show finished incredibly strong with Plunger sandwich and UMPH left the place cheering and celebrating with a two song encore and show-ending 1901 Jump mashup that was performed during the Halloween run last week in St. Louis.

Great two nights, fun fantastic run with one of the most creative and hard working bands in the jam scene. Have a good Monday everyone this show is really really good.

Which section/Songs segue the jimmy improv? Have not listened to this set yet but Timothy usually puts together a great tape. Thanks Tim!!!
